The BOO! Circle Panel Dress series consists of self-paced lessons that guide you through the fundamentals of sewing a child's dress using BOO! Designs' circle panel and PDF pattern. Choose to sew a sleeved or sleeveless sparkly circle panel dress and learn how to easily cut the preprinted panel and fussy cut the unique designs for the bodice. Master new skills, including the importance of marking, understanding quarter openings, and stitching wrapped binding. A bonus lesson covers problem-solving and test stitching to achieve optimal machine settings for a professional finish.
This series is ideal for confident beginners who have a working knowledge of their sewing machine and want to master stretch basics. All you need is a sewing machine with stretch stitches and twin needle capabilities to sew the Circle Panel Dress. If you have an overlocker and/or coverstitch machine, you'll also find tips and tricks for utilizing their features.
A kit is mailed to you before the class date that includes a Circle Panel Dress Kit (sizes 2-10 girls). The series is completed online, requiring only an internet connection and your preferred viewing method. On the day of the scheduled event, you will gain access to the video series through your online customer account on our website, allowing you to refer back to these lessons as many times as needed. In the meantime, check out the supplies you need to complete the project below.
What's Covered in the Class?
Learn how to:
- Cut your Circle Panel Dress Fabric.
- Choose your threads.
- Test stitch the fabric on your machine and make adjustments to your machine settings.
- Sew a sleeved or sleeveless dress.
- Create and sew wrapped binding.
How does this virtual event work?
*Please note that this online class is available to residents of Australia and New Zealand only.
Prior to the event start date you will have access to:
- A list of available Circle Panel Dress Fabric to select from (you will need to notify us which one you would like).
- A supplies list for items not included in the kit.
In the lead up to the class:
- Your panel fabric kit will be sent to you.
- A digital skater dress pattern will be sent to you from BOO! You will need to have this printed off in your chosen size prior to the event start date.
On the date of the class, you will gain access to the pre-recorded videos within the online education section of your Echidna customer account. These videos will remain available in your account to finish at your own pace.
Self-paced
The class is pre-recorded, so you can complete it at a time that suits you! The videos will be available in your customer account to finish at your own pace.

- Sewing machine
- Overlocker (optional)
- Coverstitch (optional)
It doesn’t matter what brand of machine you own!
Any brand of sewing machine (or overlocker or coverstitch) can be used to complete this class. You will require stretch sewing needles to complete this project successfully.
