Thread tension control

Achieve accurate tension control with the convenient thread tension dial.

Feed dog adjuster

Using the feed dog adjuster in conjunction with the Presser foot pressure dial will allow you to sew with ease on all types of fabric, even special ones such as velvet.

Removable knee lift

The removable knee lift enables you to lift your presser foot, leaving both hands free for fabric handling.

Quick bobbin threading device

Change bobbins quickly and easily with the quick bobbin system with built-in thread cutter.

Super, super superb

Wow are you guys good! Ordered the PQ1500SL sewing machine, within days it arrived. Hubby picked it up from the Post Office and left it in the back of the car, so I didn’t know it had arrived until about 9pm on Wednesday night. I spent the day (Thursday) setting it up and doing some practice with it, still haven’t mastered the automatic threader, but I will get there. Great work guys and girls. With much appreciation and thanks for a super quick delivery

This machine is perfect for my bag making. I’ve already sewn multiple layers of thick fabrics and vinyl with ease. When taking it out of the box, there was something not working correctly but it was fixed in a 10 minute phone call with the team and I have never had better service than I have had with echidna. Will never shop anywhere else now.

I recently purchased this product because I wanted something more powerful than a home sewing machine. This sewing machine is really powerful and fast! I haven't used it much yet, but the fabric is sewn smoothly and well. Also, I was surprised that even though it was a long distance delivery, it arrived in just 2 days!! I am so happy :)

I purchased the Brother PQ1500SL to be my general workhorse for alterations, curtain making and quilting type jobs. I do not have the room for a free standing industrial machine, so this was a very good option. I am delighted in the function of the machine and the ease of use. Especially the ease of bobbin loading and the thread cutting. This machine would suit the sewer who has a lot of straight stitching. Highly recommended.
