Debbie Adams
I grew up with my mum who sewed all the time. From making my many dance costumes to my wedding dress, and seven bridesmaids' dresses! When it came to my schooling, all my friends would get me to take in their jeans on the old singer machines.
When I was 20, I was introduced to machine embroidery, and I instantly fell in love with it. I love playing and pushing the boundaries. Teaching machine embroidery is a real passion, but also a real honour. I love seeing my student's faces after teaching a class, knowing I’ve given them the confidence to do it. Over the last few years I’ve been learning patchwork and quilting. What fun to cut up a perfectly good piece of material and sew it all back together again!
With the support of Echidna Sewing, my knowledge has grown exceptionally, and I’m more than happy and excited to pass that knowledge on.
Gareth Adams
I have a flare for detail as an electronics and control systems engineer, ensuring repairs and services are completed correctly.
For over 35 years I have had a passion for sewing machines. Using and repairing my grandmother’s and mother’s sewing machines just seemed to come naturally. I had the pleasure of using my mother-in-law's first computerised embroidery machine in 1990. Always keeping up to date with technology and techniques, I have been trained by the leading machine manufacturer in Australia, Brother, to service their complete range of machines.
