Ideal for small projects
By: Leandra on 11 October 2024I don't use the steam function, as eventually calcium deposits ruin irons and descalers never remove all of it. Instead, I apply either water or spray starch directly to the fabric with a mister. This iron is great for small areas and fiddly bits. It doesn't draw as much electricity as the regular irons, so it's economical to leave on for hours of piecing. My mother-in-law has arthritic hands and finds it much lighter and therefore easier to use than a regular iron.

A great mini-iron to have in my sewing room.
By: Margaret on 18 June 2023Works well for difficult items when I need to press seams. This iron heats up extremely quickly and I have not felt the need to use steam at all, even on denim. It does not take up space when I am working with a pressing mat in a smaller area.
